Milano’s is close to my house and we did dine there once three years ago. The food was good but the atmosphere was lacking. We decided a couple of weeks ago to try Milanos again. It was after 8pm but they serve to 9 so we had ample time to eat. We sat at the bar and ordered dinner. We had appetizers, dinner, drinks, wine with dinner and dessert, no coffee. The bartender who waited on us was a lady with dark curly hair. I’m not going to talk about the food or menu or ambience because they were good, not any issues. We were served apps, we told the bartender she could bring the food out as soon as it came up, which did. As I said we ordered a bottle with dinner. We had our dinner for 20 minutes and no wine. The bartender was clearly involved in cleaning behind the bar, typically closing sidework. We managed to get another lady also behind the bar seemingly taking care of some guests attention to ask if she could help us get our wine. Not having the wine until we were approximately halfway through dinner was not an outrageous thing, at the time but it did affect after dinner. It makes me very sad to return to the area to order my favorite dish, gambri shrimp dimilano (fettuccine and shrimp in a lemon, garlic, wine sauce), to find it no longer offered. 😭 So thankful that my area friends saved the day and made it for me. This dish is missed by many. Perhaps it will return?!?

A nice setting for delicious food, which was definitely the highlight of our visit. Unfortunately, the wait staff appeared distracted, lacking attentivness. Overall, I recommend Milano's.

This was honestly the best food I've had in a long time!! The appetizer brussel sprouts were AMAZING. Then we got the chicken Alfredo and another chicken pasta (the name is escaping me but it was a pink sauce) and they were both divine! The chicken Alfredo with blackened chicken had a slight kick to it which was perfection! It was our first time but we will definitely be back!! The pasta is all handmade too!

Updated review from Jan-2025: Vegetarian's Review: After a less-than-ideal first experience three years ago, which led to my one-star initial review, we decided to give Milano’s another chance in 2024 when they graciously accommodated vegetarians for a school event, and the food was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone! Since then, we’ve returned to Milano’s on several occasions, most recently just a few weeks ago. Each visit has been marked by exemplary service. Adam, in particular, is outstanding—his recommendations for vegetarian options have never disappointed. Some of their pizzas and pastas are truly delightful for vegetarians. Milano's soup specials are most often vegetarian friendly and as a soup-lover I have enjoyed a wide variety of vegetarian soups. (Vegan friends: Unfortunately, Lynchburg still has a long way to go in offering inclusive dining options for you, but we remain hopeful.) In recognition of the excellent service and delicious food we’ve experienced, I’m happy to update my initial rating of 1 star to reflect the much-improved experience we’ve had. This change feels long overdue, and it’s a relief to give credit where it’s due. Thank you, Milano’s, for listening t
